Jeremy's Tattoo

Jeremy's been wanting to get a tattoo for years, but really didn't know what to get.  I got him a gift certificate to a tattoo shop in town for Christmas.  It happened to expire, so that got him in gear to figure out what he wanted.  He got a 1/2 sleeve of a male lion with 4 cubs.  Here is the finished piece. Part of it was done in early May and it was finished just the other day.  It's on his right forearm.

Henry's Highchair

Henry enjoys sitting with us at the dinner table.  He likes to catch the action and excitement, ha!  Anyway, holding him and eating us not always that easy, especially when you have a knife in your hand.  We got him a highchair, the same kind that Leah has.  It's adjustable and he should be able to use it until he goes off to college.  Here he is modeling it.

The other night he tried some sweet potatoes.  He opens his mouth for the spoon and doesn't make too funny of face.  However, I don't know how much actually goes into his tummy!

Birthday Party

Over the weekend, we celebrated Anna's and Jeremy's birthdays.  On Saturday we had a pizza party, then on to swim at the newly remodeled pool in town.  They added a lazy river and a play structure with a zero entry pool.  I think everybody had fun.  Leah got braver and braver as the afternoon wore on.  Even Henry took a dip.

We made some smores around the fire ring after swimming...in the rain!  And played a few rousing games of Moustache Smash!

Then Jeremy's younger sister and her family spent the night.  We went to the park and then on to bowling.  Two games is a one too many when there's little kids involved.  They lost interest and some of them didn't bowl the second game.

Rabbit Show

Saturday there was a rabbit show here in town.  Everybody set up, but it was a bit chilly so Henry and I and Anna (she didn't wanna stay) ran some errands and stayed at home.  Grace did fabulously.  One of her Californians got Best of Breed in 1 show.  One of her Himilayans got Best of Breed in 2 shows.  She also managed to sell her 2 Californians.  So now she only has 6 Himilayans in her barn.  It was a long day, they didn't get home until around 6:30 that evening.  There is talk of adding a new breed to the barn....

Animals

Time for an animal update!  The piggies are getting bigger and bigger and LOVE to eat!

I don't know if I'd ever shared a picture of Tom the turkey.  Jeremy bought him at fair last year and thinks he's way to cool to butcher.  He just wanders around the "back yard".  He's pretty curious and always waddles over to see what you're doing.  For some reason he has a beef with Leah, he tries to chase her.  But he's so big, chasing doesn't occur very fast for him!

Our geese aren't fully feathered, but managing to stink up the whole house while hanging out in the basement.  Jeremy moved them to the front yard.  They like to hide under the stairs and generally walk around the yard in a big bunch.  Not the best picture through the window from inside the house.  Otherwise they would have ran and hid under the front porch stairs.

Anna is 7!

Anna turned 7 last week.  Daddy brought home donuts on his way home from work that morning.  We may have already had a mini cupcake that she was taking to school to share with her class too.  We are doing the celebrating this weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Y and aunts, uncles and cousins.  She wants to go check out the newly remodeled pool here in town.

Four Months

Can you believe Henry is now 4 months old?  He's growing too fast for this mama!  He seems to change every day.  Up to around 16 pounds now, he loves to eat.  He's wearing 6-9 month clothes.  His sisters still adore him, and I think the feeling is mutual.  And his second tooth is through!

In other news we've gotten half of this years precipitation to date within the last week.  We had rain change to snow Saturday, which is mostly melted by now.  Everything is gonna green up SO fast!

A Tooth

Henry got his first tooth.  In hindsight, that's probably why he's been a bit crankier than usual, which is to say, just plain cranky.  He's usually not too fussy of a guy.  And why he's been a drooling machine, as well.  I put on Leah's amber teething necklace, hopefully that magic kicks in soon.  I think the neighboring tooth won't be far behind either.  Because I know you want to see, some pics of the kid...  His sisters were goofing around, so there's some of them too!
